Barbie birthday

Barbie had a big birthday a week ago and unfortunately, I was unable to link up for lunch that week. We managed to have lunch at Mash Cafe in Glenbrook and Chand joined us later.

Barb and I managed to match colours. This was taken back at her place where we shared coffee, bun and fruit. Good to catch up.

I then "ducked" around the corner to the Doughty house to pick up some duck eggs that I have yet to salt and put away. I had a wrestle with Matt, a chase with Luke and Rachael was fascinated with pulling my beard.

Easyrider - Rocks to Bondi by Harley Davidson Trike

Well I finally went out and took the Easyride Trike from the Rocks acrsoss the Harbour Bridge and out to Bondi.

Although it was raining when I left home it turned out beautiful for the ride. I loved the smell of petrol and the buzz of riding open like this.

We even went throught the Harour Tunnel and the new Cross City Tunnel. I felt a bit like I was riding in a sidecar while scooting along through the bends coming out of Bondi and that reminded me of grandads old motorbike and sidecar. I must hunt up the pics from the family hisory files.

Thanks for the gift cousins, I really enjoyed the morning ride.

There are a few more photos here.

Nicole & Allan Engagement

Nicole & Allan celebated their engagement at their unit in Brookvale on Saturday. Lil and Amy attended via phone. The men gathered on the front balcony, family and friends inside and workmates on the mezzanine.

Helen, Mary and Chand laboured over the food and as you will see from the photos, everone thoroughly enjoyed the celebration of Nicole & Allan's engagement.

OTVA Christmas Party 2005

OTVA - Overseas Telecommunications Veterans Association Christmas Party at Mandarin Club Goulburn Street Sydney.

I did not attend this event personally, but Brian Fitz turned up and took along John Spruce as a newcomer to the vets.

Fitzy then sent on some pics of the event for those that might be interested in colleagues of years gone by.

Pierre & Sarah at V3

Sarah 21st

Here I am .... always in the kitchen at parties and getting a kiss from the party gal. There are plenty of pics from the brilliant cocktail party just click on the title of this post.

I make no apologies for any errors in photography. After the consumption of too many margueritas and daquiris I thought they turned out pretty good.

Happy Birthday Sarah... wonderful celebration!!

Saturday morning tai chi

Not only do the younger members of the classes get into the more vigorous Saturday morning training of stretching, balance and, during this session, kicking the bag.

Here I am helping Archie with his first ever lesson in kicking the bag.

Saturday morning training is now under cover so ready for all weather sessions. It is great to be back teaching martial arts again and getting fitter by the day.

Wow.. I stumbled onto this photo on the imac and realised that its forty years since it was taken in 1965. Thats Ron Cole the teacher on the right and me in the front row third in from his leg. Taken under the flame tree with the all purpose seats of Berowra Public School in the background.

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers

After reviewing the DVD of the Tai Chi retreat that Victor had provided to Alex, I was felling well up to a night out at theatre. With the flu on the run, I went to see Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a Blue Mountains Musical Society production.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show but was probably too keen to get back into it and suffered a bit the following day.

The last show I remember attending of the BMMS was Ruddigore when Sue McNamara was singing and designing costumes. According to their website that was in 1997, wow.
